![]() In the morning, LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly [Psalm 5:3] Someone once told met that reading the Bible is our way of hearing from God and praying is how God hears us. Communication with our Father can have in a variety of ways, but reading His Word and praying is definitely a great start. So when should you pray? Anytime and anywhere! But for me, I find that praying in the morning before my day begins allows me to set up day up on focusing on Him rather than my to-do list. In the Bible, you will find many references to praying in the morning. In the book of Mark, Jesus shows us when we can pray. "Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed" (v.35) After a productive long day of ministry the day before, Jesus woke up and found a solitude place to talk to God. He made prayer a priority. In our busy life of mommas, it is an immense sacrifice to wake up even earlier than what we are to spend time with our Lord. But this is a sacrifice we can choose to make not just for our betterment, but also shows God where our priorities are. Try waking up just ten minutes earlier and try praying in the morning. You may find that your entire day has a new outlook and peace can be found much quicker. |
